After showing up in our label a few years ago with the Coordenadas (EP) from 2020 and including a track in our Fractals (Various Artists) from 2023, it’s now time for Saurio to release a full album.
This body of work comprises eight tracks, representing the “all killer no filler” concept at its best. A proper collection of dancefloor hurters, administered at an adult BPM rate, full of intelligence and details, sometimes sci-fi and synthetic, sometimes funky and shuffled, sometimes linear and hypnotic, but always preserving the fundamental techno roots all over.
Alpha Dracos and the sinister vocal sample opens fire, sharing space with assorted bleeps and a full on groove.
Second cut Andromedans is a proper sci-fi techno tool with complex resonant lines, micro drones and a relentless rhythm.
Number three Zeta Reticulans gives another view on the sci-fi approach, more club focused and more obsessive in the sound recipe. Ideal for the peak time hours on any decent club.
Lyrans puts an eye into Detroit roots but mixed with the industrial madness of the Birmingham sound, this one will make serious damage out there.
Atlanteas is a merciless weapon, again using sinister voices and a white noise washes to ignite the formula. But the hidden melody is the secret here to provide the required trance.
Sirians provides the hi tech funk, with samples, futuristic vocals, punchy bleeps and video game sounds. Proper jacking techno.
Orionians go dreamy and floaty but still preserving the danceable pulse, this one is ideal to bring some soul into darkened dancefloors.
Arcturians closes this epic collection of tunes bringing the minimal soul to the equation and demonstrating that there’s still life in techno, you just have to give some love to your tools.
