Two years ago I got acquainted with the ZhuZZaToR synthesizer, the work of engineer Alexander Benyakov from Yaroslavl. When I touched the instrument for the first time, I felt a complete fusion, and a desire to record with it and study everything about this instrument. The sound of this instrument was similar to ganlin, a Tibetan human bone flute, I first heard many years ago, and it was a frightening and at the same time alluring experience. Going deeper into Bon traditions I have also immersed into sacred thoughts. At some point I realised that playing ZhuZZaToR, I enter a trance and performing a kind of ritual, similar to Gcod, in which the terrible gunlin was used.
Each time I had a rehearsal in my studios, I immersed deeper into darkness, clearly realising that I was beginning to soar over the tops of the mountains, showered with the ashes of funeral pyres, which soared under the feet of dancing daikins, attracted by the horrid song of the galing... .
About the Act - A-BELL
A-Bell, a one man act, by Churylau Leanyd (Minsk, Belarus) founded on August 1, 2016, in the recording studio Abell Leanid Production.
Prior to the A-Bell project, the author had experience in various genres of music, in some bands and also solo, as a vocalist, sound producer and composer. The range of his musical preferences ranged from extreme forms of metal and experimental electronics, to nu-age, avant-garde, and symphonic music.
The result of all this was the creation of the A-BELL project, which combines the musical preferences of the author, which he acquired during this time, based on ambient textures, sound canvases of field recordings and improvisation on electro-acoustic instruments.
