Music has the ability to create transcendent experiences. It can make us feel like we’re in touch with something bigger than ourselves, something otherworldly and often spiritual. Being able to experience a shade of that same sensation in a social gathering tunes us in a larger spectrum of people with whom we share the world. Perhaps something that we might need to relearn now.

Noah Lyas is the pseudonym for the ‘amsterdamer electronic music head’ and ceramicist Malii Yorks. Drums, rhythms and the feel of them are for him the most interesting aspects within musical compositions. Malii tells us - ‘Whether it is complex or very simple, rhythms will set things in motion, not necessarily the body when it is dancing, but also your inner self’.
